A traditional Collector's Teddy Bear exclusively for Great Britain in a limited Edition of 4,000 pieces.
This bear has been beautifully hand crafted to celebrate the art of gardening. Our Gardening Bear asks you to accept a selected rose from his basket, which is complete with bottle of scented fragrance.
He stands 21cm (8¼") tall and is, of course, made of the finest mohair.
He also would like to inform you, that 5% of sales of this limited edition that are received by Steiff, will be donated to the Horticulture and gardening Industry charity initiative Called the Greenfingers Appeal. Money raised through the appeal will be directed towards the maintenance, provision and enhancement of gardens at the 21 Children's Hospices in the UK, dedicated to the Caring for children not expected to live beyond the age of 19.
Whilst typically the children are too ill to get actively involved, the grounds of a hospice can play a vital role as a place of peace, solitude and calm for the parents, friends and relations - a place of spiritual repair and reflection.
Additionally, the number 00001 piece of this bear was accepted by the foremost British Gardener, Mr Alan Tichmarsh, who received the bear on behalf of all gardeners in the UK. He kindly autographed a paw and then donated it to auction by Christie's of London, with the proceeds again going to the Greenfingers Appeal.
